Responsibilities
The Zoning Hearing Board (ZHB) consists of three residents appointed by the Board of Supervisors to a three-year term. They serve without compensation. The duties of the ZHB include hearing requests for Variances and Special Exceptions, appeals from a determination of the Zoning Officer, and making decisions based on the hearings. The ZHB is assisted by a solicitor. Hearings before the ZHB require the services of a court reporter. The application fee for residential zoning hearings is $1000.00; a non-residential application fee is $1500.00.
